Sydney May07 (ITSC)}: Fifteen days have passed since the infamous Pahalgam massacre took place and India has since given targeted response to the whole incident, according to Indian Defence sources in all nine terrorist targets were targeted without causing any civil or military causalities. India fired 24 missiles on selected pointed targets. Colonel Sophiya Qureshi said that Operation Sindoor “was launched by Indian armed forces to deliver justice to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack and their families. Nine terrorist camps were targeted and successfully destroyed.”
The leading terrorists identified were training facilities led by Masood Azhar and Hafiz Saeed . It is also said that 14 people from Masood’s family were among the dead. Masood asked that why I was left out in the attack I too should have been died. Masood was the brain behind Mumbai terror attack.
Explaining about the operation, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, during a briefing with Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and Col Qureshi, said that the action on the terror camps were undertaken through “precision capability” and with the use of “niche technology weapons” with “careful selection of warheads” to ensure that there were “no collateral damage”. “The point of impact in each of the target was a specific building or a group of buildings and all the targets were neutralized with clinical efficiency,” Wing Commander Singh said.
Underlining that “no military establishments were targeted,” she added that “India has demonstrated considerable restraint in its response”. “However, it must be said that the Indian armed forces are fully prepared to respond to Pakistani misadventures, if any, that will escalate the situation.”
All said and done but moot question remains why India ignored information of possible attack by terrorists when PM Narendra Modi had changed his plan to visit to Kashmir.
