Jaishankar, Andrii Sybiha discuss ways to resolve Ukraine conflict at Munich meet

New Delhi Feb15:- In the backdrop of the recent meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump recently, India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Minister Andrii Sybiha in Munich on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference and discussed the path to resolution of the Ukraine conflict.

President Trump is taking keen interest in resolving the Ukraine issue and intends to talk to Russian President Vladamir Putin in bringing the war to an end. 

At the same time, Prime Minister Modi at a joint press conference with President Trump recently said a solution to the ongoing conflict cannot be found on the battlefield and that dialogue and diplomacy is the only way to bring peace. He clarified that India has not been neutral on the war and that “it is on the side of peace”.

Foreign Minister Jaishankar posted on X, “Good to meet FM @andrii_sybiha of Ukraine on sidelines of #MSC 2025 today. Discussed ongoing efforts towards resolution of the Ukraine conflict. 

“Also spoke about further advancement of our bilateral cooperation,” he posted. 

Minister Sybiha expressed gratitude and posted, “I thank 

@DrSJaishankar for our meaningful meeting.

“We are interested in developing relations with India and advancing cooperation in trade, technology, agriculture, security, and other areas.

“We also rely on India’s strong global voice to bring a just and lasting peace closer,” Sybiha posted.
